A little up and down on the hitch
...Makes a world of difference in the way the whole rig feels. I lowered my hitch down one hole before our trip to Yellowstone, because the trailer looked a little high in the nose (maybe just an illusion). The truck felt like we had just loaded a ship on the back, really heavy. On the way home, since we weren't in a hurry, I pulled out, unhooked Monty, and raised the hitch back up one hole. What a difference! I could feel the trailer, but it didn't feel as heavy, starting, stopping, and the ride in general just felt smoother. I don't know how much the weight increases on the rear axles by lowering the trailer, but I can tell you the feel changes dramatically.
