Salt Water
We live on the beach. Are we asking for trouble if we store our 5th wheel next to the house? The 5th wheel would be out in the open and we get wind and salt spray.
Thank you

Well knowing what salt can do to a car or truck I can't believe it would be any good for your Montana. I would be looking for a storage facility a bit further inland. It might cost you but the salt damage could be a bigger cost in the end.

Moxie,
We were at Pacifica is No. Calif. right on the ocean for about 6 months. Absolutely ruined a bicycle and did a lot of damage to the 5er we had then. Rust everywhere, steps, underneath, screws all over and the hitch. Never again.

Have to agree with all the others. The damage salt water did to my boat trailer was amazing. Remember all that salty mist--it's the same stuff as the ocean and it will permeate everything on the Montana. Store further inland if at all possible. Good luck.

Last summer I was talking with another couple that spent a whole summer on the coast and when they were going to move on had to spend an entire afternoon freeing up the slides as they had rusted in place from the salt air. Needless to say, SALT AIR IS BAD FOR THE MONTANA.

As You already know from living there, salt air will eat away any metal it comes in contact with.
I concur with finding a place to park further inland. That is unless You don't plan on keeping the camper long.
