Cover for Slide Switch
One of the things we were concerned about on our new 3295RK was the fact that the switch for opening and closing the slides was located right beside other light switches on the wall just to the right when entering the door. We felt it was just a matter of time before someone (probably us) would hit the hydraulic switch instead of a light switch. Also were concerned about any children who were visiting. I went to Lowes and purchased a clear (gray backplate with clear cover) box cover used for covering outside single recepticle or switch, in the electrical department. Was just a matter of removing two screws in the existing switch cover. Aligned the top screw with top hole in existing switch cover and new cover back plate, replaced bottom screw in identical location as current switch, and added a third screw to hold the bottom of the new cover backplate firmly in place. This bottom screw was necessary to hold the backplate firmly because of the latch on the clear plastic cover. The new cover is hinged at the top. Now to use the hydraulic switch you have to lift the cover. No more worrying about accidentally hitting this switch to turn on the outside lights or overhead fan light. Thought this may be a helpful idea for others who may be concerned about the close location of all these switches.
