Toilet Paper?
I was wondering if it is safe to use septic safe tp from Wal-Mart or should I stick to the Thetford brand of rv tp which I am currently using? Are any of you using store brand septic safe tp out there? If so, what kind are you using? Thank you.

Anything that is septic safe or when placed in a glass of water and shook, breaks apart. We are using Quilted Northern right now but have also used Charmin.
Happy trails.....................

Scotts Scotts Scotts....they come in the larger rolls and 12 rolls. RV and Septic safe (listed on the label) and only one ply. That's all I use, unless I see a really good sale on RV TP which is very rarely.

I use scotts also. Same reason as above. The more ply. you have the harder it is to break down with water. I also have the Mountaineer 297RKS 2004. LOVE IT!

Any of the off-the-shelf products that will survive the "shake" test (putting a piece in a glass of water and shaking it). If it falls apart, it's good to use. We happen to be partial to 2-ply Angel Soft. No need to pay those high prices for Thetford products.

I use the Thetfords 2 ply in the coach, and Charmin in the stick house which is on septic.

Several Years ago I read an artical in an RV magazine that tested many types of toilet paper. The final result was they all broke apart easy enough for use in RV toilets. I have used whatever I had in the stick house in my motorhome with no problems. In the Montana I use Costco's Kirkland brand, cheap, soft, and septic tank safe.

Check the label...if it says "RV Safe" it will do just fine. No need to go for the high priced stuff..

Save your money and don't buy the expensive RV paper.
We use Scotts single ply "septic-safe" with absolutely no problems.

3rd vote for Costco's Member's Mark - Kirkland. Been using it for 1 1/2 years with zero problems.
