Roof vents/decal replacements
The caps on the roof vents (about 6" in diameter)on the front and back of our roof are disintegrating. Can you buy new caps or must we replace the entire vent? Also, about 2/3 years ago Keystone gave us new decals for the front and door side of our 2008 Montana 3075. We have not been able to find anybody to remove the old decals and replace them with the new ones. Is there any place in the Ohio area that anybody knows about who does this. We'll be in the Wooster area for the month of October. Thanks!

I was just up on the roof inspecting things and noticed that the caps actually unscrew! That ought to make replacement a breeze for you if yours are similar.

Ruth..
I found this on EBay.. looks like the kind you need.. not sure if they unscrew... you will have to ask the person selling the vent...
Hope this helps.

Ruth-- they come as a complete unit. I had to replace one of ours in June and they only come as the vent plus the cap. It wasn't to bad in price so just took the cap off and put it on and have the rest in the salvage box. If you are coming to the Fall Rally you might be able to pick just the cover up at one of the RV salvage stores also but they mainly come as a whole unit as seen in the post by lfw!

Once you put the new ones on, spray with plasticot, and they will last much longer.

I just ordered the vent caps from the place mentioned on Ebay. I ordered and had them in two days. Ebay was the only place I found them, without having to go through a dealer.

Just a FYI to you and others about decals. Decals have a shelf life similar to paint or some lubricants. Don't get them until you know you can install them in a reasonable timeframe. They will still go on and stick, but their longivity lessens with the sitting in the box time.

Also if you order new ones, when they come in the box, check them. Mine came folded up. I took them out of the box and rolled them up. I told this to the man the re did my front decal. He said good thing you did or you could have a crease in them.

Thanks everybody! We found the part at LazyDays in Tampa and will stop there on our way to Ohio. Wish the fall rally wouldn't have changed dates as we have this fixed for many more years we hope!

Mine came from Keystone wrapped around a heavy cardboard tube. I guess I was a lucky one.
