I love china tires!!!
I replaced my missions in april of 08 app 2500 miles ago went with new dynatrails still from china but a better looking tire. Wellll today while cutting grass I saw a very large bubble on one. We are getting ready for goshen so when I get there all 4 will be gone and there will be some on it from "USA". I gave them 2 shots at me no more.

Bobby-- I wouldn't wait for Goshen to get those replaced! If you had one bubble on you, who knows what will happen to the others on your way up to Indiana! Good luck and see you in Goshen!

Unless you switch to light truck tires, good luck finding trailer tires made in the US. I think even Goodyears are made in China.

I've had trouble with EVERY Chinese tire I've ever owned with the exception of dirt bike knobbies. But knobbies last about 5 or 6 days so they usually don't have time to fall apart on you.
I have Michelin Ribs. A bit pricey but probably worth it.

Not made in America but I won't trade my Michelin Ribs for any other tire. Well worth the extra money.

It was not all that long ago that everything made in Japan was Junk. Now Japan tires are the best. It was good for Japan that China came along.

There is a huge difference though. The Japanese recognized they had quality issues. In fact, the hired an American by the name of Dr. Deming to help them overcome their problems. The Chinese on the other hand seem to be content in ripping every one off.

Dr Demmings methods were BTW rejected by the good ole USA So he Offered them to Japan. China although a different form of Governmnet employees much the same methods. The problem is we buy cheap Chinses goods whose fault is that.. This HP Computer I am typing on and perhaps most of yours... Is made in China.

Regarding Dr Deming. Here is a link to the first of three in a video series about the statistical process controls developed by Dr Deming. It was produced by the BBC some time ago, but is as important today as ever.
It is obvious that most American manufacturers still don't get it although the auto industry is on the right track due to global competition. Ford's understanding it better than the rest.
Now if Japan began to make RV's, you would see future Montana's rolling down the road with wheels and tires intact.

When I was doing the research on replacing my Missions, I could find NO tires (ST235/80R16) made in the USA. I opted for Bridgestone LT 235/85R16s...they are doing fine.

Chineese tires will get better. It's getting hard not to buy them. I will buy tires made in the free world whenever possible! Established safety practices with the customer in mind. Not made by someone who has no idea of what the tires will be used for or mean to me.

Perhaps they will but I'll let someone else be the test dummy!
