Rain water blown up from the road can get into the underbelly around the edges. Not that much, but some. Also, in high humidity areas, the tanks can sweat and produce a good amount of water coming off of them.

I had a leaking grey tank several years ago, and it turned out to be a crack in the ABS tank. I made repairs and also added supports under the black and grey tank. No more issues, even with both tanks full from boondocking. My post on this can be seen at this thread- http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=72308

not a whole lot of options on why you have water.

I was told that road water can get in the underbelly. but if you are concerned you'll need to drop the bottom and start checking.

good luck

We had that a few years ago. It took awhile to find, but it was a hole in the top of our grey tank (shower). Brought our Big Sky to 2 dealers, and it would only leak when a person stood in a certain area of the shower. When our tank was removed it was discovered that Keystone had left a screw on top of the tank during the construction process and as time went on it made a hole... I was not a happy camper. Hope you find where your water is coming in...

Make sure you check your tank flush. it can leak at the vacuum breaker and run down the lines and into the under belly

I wouldn't worry about it unless it leaks at a time when rainwater is not a possible source.

Do you have a washer? When the dealer installed our washer/dryer, they plumbed the drain pipe directly into the main three inch drain line. The first time we used the washer when not having the discharge valve open we filled the underbelly with wash water. Didn't realize that wash water was not going into grey tank.

The very front seam were the coroplast is screwed to the trailer is not sealed water tight. There is usually a piece of aluminum with the coroplast sandwiched between it and the trailer, screwed in place. Water while towing will get driven into that seam. Take some black silicon and caulk that front seam.

Mine was lead in through the Coroplast especially along the frame edges. If the coroplast extends beyond the frame, trim it back and seal with black silicone caulk. Worked for my problem.

Depending on what module Montana you have it will be under the bathroom sink or behind the shower wall look under the bathroom sink look for (2) white water lines at the top of the lines will the the valve. Same with the shower but you can only see the lines from behind the back basement wall. a lot have just by past the valve under the floor and a valve on the end of the hose when we flues the black tank.

You won't want to hear this response but here goes. We kept wondering how our underbelly coroplast could be sagging as we found no leaks inside anywhere. After cutting (yes, we cut, no issues) we found the black tank support had bent, causing the tank to come partially unattached to the toilet drain so the black water was going everywhere, including into the tank. So we thought we were emptying every week not realizing we had a mess.

Water can just accumulate in the under belly from rain, washing, or whatever. Dealer told me years ago to drill or cut a small hole in the lowest bulge and don't worry about it.

I may be wrong, but bent tank supports are most likely do to traveling with full of near full waste tanks. Trust me when I tell you that these tanks are not well supported and actually can move front to back several inches. We never travel with more that a few gallons of waste water in the tanks.

As mentioned, I have also carefully drilled holes in the low spots in the coroplast covering to let any water out that may get in.

No holes for me. I kind of WANT to know if water is getting under the rig. Then I can track it down before it gets worse.

That's the problem, you don't its happening till its to late. Think driving down the highway, while your underbelly fills up with water and brakes loose and drops onto the axles, then a trailer tire runs over it and yanks the whole shooting match out from under your trailer sending it flying into the path of the vehicles behind you. IMHO you never want to trap water where it is not meant to be.

beeje, I don't have that problem since I never travel with more than a gallon or 2 in the tanks. I always dump the night before or the morning of driving.

The issue is the water does not always come from within the camper. The underbelly can and will collect water from driving in the rain.
