Montana Decals

Hello One and all,
Just wondering how many of you have had, in the past and currently, the decals start to peel off . Ours are coming off BIG TIME.
So, was wondering also if any of you have replaced them or had them painted on. The factory said I could have a set for free even but I fear the cost of removing/installation may well be comparable to a paint job...(??) Oh yeah, our Montana is a 38' 2009 model.
Thanks folks and Happy Trails and beyond.............
Dick and Linda

Dick, do a search on Montana decals and you ill find more info on them than you want to read. Sorry you are having this problem. We bought our first Mo tana last year and pray we don't have that problem. We had it on our Sunnybrook. Good luck.

Here is the search result for decal.
Oops. Guess I can't do a search and post it.
Seems to be no rhyme or reason on decal peeling. Some of us have been lucky to have trailers several years old with minimal, if any, peeling. Others have had them peel on trailers only a year old.
My '07 just started curling around the edges a little last year and a little more this year. But only on the front and not too bad yet. Sides still look great.
Good friend had an '08 and they peeled front and sides after two years. Replaced them and they were peeling again in a year.

Our 06 Monty started peeling and cracking more than a year ago. Cost to buy decals is $1800 not including removal and installation. My plan is to remove the worst ones and save my money. Sometime in the future, I will look into a good air brush solution--I have a budget--$1800 + XX. I have looked at other brands and they also seem to have the same problem. I would bet the "new" decals will not last any longer than the original. It is a cosmentic issue so the RV industry is just ignoring it--or by a full paint job--estimated cost about $5000.

Thanks one and all for the info!! Sounds like an on going problem and , as Tim and Susan pointed out, industry may HOPEFULLY come up with a "better mousetrap: to solve the problem ! (XXXXX- crossed fingers)
Happy trails to and from!

We should check on Beer decals for the front cap and maybe get paid for the advertising from the beer company. We may get it for free and the local beer distributor would put it on. I never see a peeling decal on a beer truck. Hope we would not become commercial.
