Heading South

We leave Samish Island in the morning and will be in Portland at the Jantzen Beach RV Park for the next week. The temps are dropping as well as the leaves. The trees are sure gorgeous but it is time to head for some warmer temps. The fireplace is getting a work out.

Safe travels as you make the journey southward! I wish I was following you to warmer weather.

IMP,

We noticed that the trees are just starting to turn. Sure makes for some pretty viewing but it also means the weather is turning colder. We are a bit further south than you but slowly working our way south. We're currently in Fortuna, CA . for about 4 days. Then on south. We'll stay with Doug and Sharon for a few days and then make the final move. We're meeting our kids at Morro Bay for a few days of R&R with the grandkids. Then on back to baking Bakersfield.

If you guys get a chance please stop by and say hello. We should be home by Oct. 11.

Have a great trip.

Dennis and Mary Kay

We had some frost here the other morning and we are in the process of loading the truck and trailer. Sallie has been making trips to the trailer with boxes and arm loads for several days. I keep reminding her that our truck is a little ole 6 cylinder.

Dennis & Mary Kay.. we are mainly travelling the coast, but we are leaving all our options open. We are hoping the weather will cooperate. We will not be in Calif. until November. If there is any chance, will give you an e mail.
Larry & LaVonne: hope our paths cross again also. We won't be back to TX till the end of January. We will be there until May, then we will head East to do the East coast.
When we left this morning it was in the high 40's and when we arrived in Portland it was 72 deg. Oh it felt so good. Unfortunately the cold is following us. But it feels good to be back on the road again.

Looks like we will be passing on the road. We are heading North on I-5 starting the 3rd of Oct. Kind of going backwards this year, North and East in the Fall. Have a safe trip, the weather has been great here in North Central Calif. Just hope it hold until we reach Washington and head East.

Here's wishing you Happy Travels and a Safe Journey.

Here's an advance welcome back to Texas. Won't get to met with y'all as in the past with Larry & LaVonne headed to the RGV earlier this year. We are going to be a lot more restricted with our trailering. In July we moved Jerrie's mom in with us due to ill health. If we get towards Bastrop we'll try to get up with you. Wish we could see some high 40's here, has been a terrible long hot, humid summer.

Thanks Charlie.. In January you will be hoping for the 70's again. Just think winter and at least you broke the drought!! Take care and hope to see you sometime. Our best to you and Jerrie.
