I'm going to assume you have level-up since you said automatic. There is going to be a small amount of shaking, but if it's a major thing you might want to adjust the level-up so it levels you a little higher and takes some tension off the suspension. It should already be doing that, however. I'm also going to assume you mean chock the wheel, not block. Blocking wheels up would put tension back on the springs and increase rocking in a level-up system. I don't think cocks, (not blocks) will help with shaking, but many of us use chocks for safety when we're not on a completely level site. If you do need to adjust the level-up someone should be along who has done it. We've never had to.

Thought about doing that for my 4 month stay in Colorado. A wise old gent told me I would go from being high class trailer trash (RV) to low class trailer trash (RV on blocks).

Are you going to live in it and never move it. If so I think I would put it up on blocks. That would be like on a foundation and be solid. We are on our level up system for 6 months at a time in the winter and there is very little movement. They will never be "solid as rock" a some folks like to say.

At the Resort we're in there is a large number of 5th wheels (including a few Montana) that are left here year round. All of them are up on Cement Blocks and tied down (Park requirement for leaving on site).
If I were to do something like that, I think I would block at least four places on each side, Front, front of axles, behind axles, and rear of unit.

These are 5th Wheels, not really "Park Models". However, if it was never going to be moved then IMHO why not block it up like a park model. It sure would be stable. With our 6-point level up we don't get much movement.

Let me ask something-- If you are going to block your Monte up why would you even buy a unit with the six point level-up system on it? That's a pretty expensive item on the unit and not use it. I can see it if you are going to be moving it around the nation every so often because of your job moving but not if you are going to leave it in one place for the rest of it's life or until you sell it.

Mike,
I'm thinking you could make quite a statement putting your Montana up on blocks... especially being up front next to the road. Could draw in a whole new clientele!!
