Chip in counter top

Has anyone repaired the 'fake' type corian / granite pink countertop?
Have a large chip on the edge of the sink.

I had my '06 3400 into the Keystone Service Center 2 years ago,(past warranty), with scratches in the countertop and they replaced the whole thing. Did not have any in stock so had the cabinet shop pour a new one with one of the molds. Looks fine. They said it was not worth repairing. There has been some talk about repairing scratches but not a chip, as far as I can remember. Perhaps a quality cabinet shop may be able to smoothe it out.

I would venture to say that if you take the rig to a cast marble place that makes counter tops and sinks they could do a repair for you. They might have a hard time matching the exact look but it would not be all that different. Most larger cities have these places.
The other option would be to replace the entire counter with sink. Others have had that done due to cracking in the base of the sink.

Out of curiosity, does Corian have a solid surface look throughout?? Or is the place where the chip is out of the counter a different color?? The reason I ask is whether the repair for chips for quartz countertops would work, they recommend just filling with a quick-set glue (super glue, etc.).
