Generator Safety by Keystone

Good discussion by Keystone regarding use of gasoline and LP generators at this link - http://keystonerv.com/media/pdf/COFa...SED6162006.pdf

A fella never stops learning something. This article mentions use of the roof fans while running an onboard or nearby generator, and cautions that it could actually draw CO into the coach. I never thought of that -

We must think alike Brad, when you posted that site, the first thing I read was about the lug nut torque, appreciate the reply nonetheless, it helps to keep everyone informed. The second thing I read was about the CO and gas generators, and the exhaust fans creating negative pressure in the RV which allows CO to creep in. I also had never thought about it, but that is definitely worth everyone knowing. GOOD JOB!!!!!

The houseboating community is on a big safety kick regarding CO. A number of people have died due to CO problems with several boats being tied together and their generators running with the exhaust coming out at the water line. No place for it to go, and the swimmers inhale it.
