Water in Under Belly

Rain water is getting into our underbelly of our Montana. I am assuming it is road water when driving.

Just wondering if others have run into this issue? And any suggestions on how to to deal with this issue, if any.

And no, none of the tanks are leaking.

If you look under there it would be pretty difficult to seal from road water when driving. One source of water I found was the valve under the bathroom sink used a backflow preventer. brain fart is making forget he proper name of it.

FYI, earlier this year in May I had water, lots of water in the belly from a leaking check valve under the sink in the bathroom. Not fun.

The probability is high that you have a holding tank leak.

Agree with Richfaa. found through personal experience that a split at the top of the tank will occur when over filled. The leak only occurs when driving and sloshing water around in the tank or when filled to the top again. Tank failure is a somewhat common problem and can be fixed or replaced depending on your energy level!! good luck

Technical name is a "vacuum breaker" for the power tank flush of the black tank. IF it is leaking, replcae with a brass one, or just bypass it completely ,or continue to use the junky plastic style.

When mine leaked on 1st use of the new coach, it let water into my pass thru storage, and I shut water supply off before it got any significant amount of water in it. Soaked water up with 1 towel, fortunate I was standing there watching for leak!!!

I found that I get water into the edges of the coroplast, then it leaks into the bottom wherever the bottom is cut...like around the galley sink drain pipe that connects into the sewer outlet as well as where the solid rod for the galley grey tank drain. I sealed the edges with tape. Now that morryde put the i.s. on, I need to find time to crawl under and check the bottom to make sure new avenues aren't present.

Mine fills with rainwater when we have driving rain, I determined it is on the drivers side. First happened when sitting through a hurricane last fall. I think it is coming in through the external furnace vent then down through the heater outlet on top of my tanks. In my case I know it is not tank water as it happens when stored, empty.

Rain water vs black water?

Wouldn’t it be easy to tell if it is rain water/road splash vs. black or grey water based on smell?

Black water probably so but gray not so much. And then there is the fresh water tank that as others have said can be cracked just from filling

IF smell doesn't give any clues, maybe the TASTE will....(sorry couldn't resist).

Had a water leak in the SOB we owned, and when the belly was drooping very low as a result I drilled a 1/4" hole at the lowest point to drain it. It never opened up larger or tore because of the hole.

Did the same as philly.g then you can determine what kind of water it is.

I had water in my belly, it was a grey broken grey holding tank that was cracked then eventually ruptured.

If it is rainwater from the road, no big deal. It will flow out or dry. Preventing it is futile and pointless. If it is coming from the top down, like through walls or whatever, that needs to be found and fixed.

We had the same problem on our 2018 HC 362RD. Frustrating to get resolved, but the dealer service team finally acknowledged the problem and replaced the broken piece when it sprayed water in the pass through while we were all standing there watching (we requested proof of repair before we picked it up). Not only was the vacuum breaker broken (slow leak), it had a nail or screw through one of the pipes (much faster spray leak). It has worked since then, but is still in their possession for something else.
