Shouldn't go to the RV show......

Well, went to the fall RV show here in Portland (OR) and probably should have stayed home. Saw a new Montana, the 3810. It has the window in front, with the bedroom there as well. Wife loved the floor plan, especially the "window lounge" (as they call it) seating and storage area under the front window. What she really loved though, is the "walk in closet" area off the bedroom. Also thought the fireplace in the bedroom was a "romantic" idea as well???? 40 years of marriage, and "romantic"...? I, of course, am looking at the mechanical side of things. I have noticed that the AC units are now combination AC and heat pump units. Good idea in my opinion.

So, time will tell if we trade up from our current 3725 to this new unit. From the wife's standpoint, it looks promising...!

Anyone out there have one yet, or have seen one? Opinions??

There was a discussion on this floor plan (started by me) a few weeks ago IMO Kind of a weird floor plan, that is the last thing I want in my bedroom is a huge window and couch but hey I do like the Fireplace up there it is Romantic just get rid of the big window up front for more privacy and put some mood lighting in there and a few Lava lamps and a rotating King bed with Mirrors on the ceiling Maybe a Hot tub and replace the couch with a Wet bar now that would be cool

We found that for the most part we liked what we saw except, like Jimmy, couldn't get excited over the window and lounge area.

But for the rest of it and the walk in closet was awesome! In the end though we settled for the 3721.

With the 3810 I keep thinking about the ribbing we might endure from our rv friends when we tell them we have a fireplace in our bedroom. The conversation around the campfire would go in the same direction as mentioned in the above posts

Thanks as usual for the morning laughs Jimmy.

Good luck going forward, enjoy the hunt.

When we had a problem with the furnace the other night, a fireplace in the bedroom would have been nice.

We bought our 3000RK by "just going to look", hoping to convince my wife we needed a trailer with more nice things to stay in Arizona for the winter. It worked! The rear kitchen and fireplace sold her on the idea.

We did not purchase either one of our two Montana's at a RV show but we did pick out the model we wanted at a RV show then purchased at a dealer. We found that we can get as good or better of a price at a dealer if you negotiate.

The 3810 floor plan bathroom look really good. The local dealer told me that Montana had dropped the front bathroom which I really liked and was coming out with a floorplan that had a soaking tub in the very front. Concern about how you fill it up with a small water heater.

Yes as I see a 3920/21 model added to the site this morning. We think one is giving up a lot of closet space in exchange for having BOTH a separate shower and soaker tub. Nice to see a model with washer/dryer added back to central location in the RV but overall not a model we would consider.

One thing we missed on our initial look at the 3920/21 is that the toilet sink area is on the same level as the kitchen/ living area. Bedroom stairs come after that area as one of proceeds down the hall to the bedroom, nice trend maybe.
