installing Carefree sideout Kover III on a 3790

Hi All,

has any one installed a Carefree of Colorado SOK III on a 2016 3790?

really tired of cleaning off slides after camping...it looks like a pretty easy job...
can the railing thats above the slides for the water deflection be used as the awning rail?
and does any one have and comments about care free vs Dometic?

Some where on this site is discussion on this. I asked the same question along time ago. Some people had problems with carefree but I can't remember what people said the problems were. Plenty of knowledge on this site. So stand by for an answer or more.

I have had a very good experience with Dometic and would choose them again.

I have the Carefree Slide out covers on my RV. They are attached separate from the rain gutter on the side of the RV. I have had them on my RV for 9 years now. Two of the covers pull out further and make window awnings. I don't know if they still offer those. I never hve had any problems with them.

I have the SOK IIIs, and Love them. Same as GregN, the dealer installed them separate from the gutters to give the cover more of a pitch/angle.

You may consider a leaf blower with a gutter attachment. You can stand on the ground and blow the slides off in no time plus you don't have to listen to the racket covers make in the wind. Yeah I know ... scores of you are sold on covers.

I made pvc supports and the wind makes no noise/no flapping.
