repair slide cover material

I've got a 2006 3500RL with the original slide covers on the four slides. I noticed the leading edges on three of them have just started to tear. The tears are less than an inch but I wondered if there was a way to stop it from getting worse. Not $$$ ready to replace them yet.

Try some Etrnabond tape. Should at least hold for a while.

I have never used it but I understand there is a clear awning repair tape that works pretty well. Should be available at most RV supplies stores or web sites. There are replacement slide awning fabrics available on eBay for just over $100 each. Not hard to replace and I plan to do mine soon. I just replaced my main awning fabric on my Dometic electric awning and it was an easy job for me and my adult son. When replacing awning fabrics BE SURE TO INSERT THE PIN FOR SAFETY MEASURE AS INSTRUCTED! This is covered in many videos on You Tube.

Just ordered some Etrnabond from Amazon. Looks like tough stuff. Thanks Walt!
Would like to hear how the Ebay replacement install goes for you WEBE.
