Trim On Main Slide 3670RL

I guess the slide goes in before the quality goes on... or is that backwards?? Found this while crawling around under the UPOS ... guess that explains why that slide never did seem to be exactly flush when closed.

I can't really tell what I am seeing in the picture. Are you shooting directly up from the bottom?

We have a problem with the slides not sitting flush also. In fact, the assist handle would not fit into the locked position. In returning the unit to the dealer and requesting that it be checked again, they just added shims to the assist handle. Any information that I could use to get the dealer to look at it again would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is a hyraulic slide viewd from below (flat on my back). The sheet metal flashing on the bottom of the slide has cut into the sheet metal of the coach.

Gruffy,

I went out to have a look at the slides on my Mountaineer and the sheet metal on the bottom edge of the slide is cut so that it fits between the sheetmetal on the bottom of the coach. Looks like someone wasn't paying attention when they installed yours. I think I'd have the dealer take a look as I can see how this would keep the slide from coming all the way in.

This is just a thin piece of aluminum. The slide was causeing it to bend outward. The repair was made via a tin snip attack. Just one more example of poor workmanship that made it past the manufacturer, dealer and my PDI. And the repairs go on......(sigh).....

Nice. Looks like I need to drag mine over to the concrete driveway and spend some time checking things out, between the suspension components, this and unber belly covering. a little TLC before having to deal with it on the road somewhere.
thanks for the heads up.
