That time of year again. But those seemed particularly violent for this early in the year. Have lived in north Texas, southern end of tornado alley, all my 62 years. Our house was damaged by one when I was 3 yrs old. Since then, none have ever really been very close. In fact, I have only seen 3 in my life. Guess I better go find some wood to knock on.

Gulf Shores had a "severe thunderstorm warning" and a "tornado watch", but we actually only had a bit of heavy rain a a few claps of thunder.
Tom41: Where are you headed in Gulf Shores?

Tornados, we were surounded by them last night. I'm 61 years old and was in our storm shelter twice last night. This is the first storm shelter I have ever owned. I love my Storm Shelter. What we seen today really scared us. Just over the hill there was massive damage, trees and house tops every which way. Two people died about 10 miles from us. We are in the process of putting better chairs and another type radio, we now a th NOAA weather radio great radio. If this happens again we will stay the night in our S.S. Pray for all the storm victims. Also think about if your in a RV park what shelter are you going to get into??? GBY....

Here in New Caney, TX we had T-Storm warnings, but nothing came of it except some thunder and lightning. Didn't even get any rain. Our hearts and prayers go out to all those who experienced Mother Natures rath. For this time of year this is really different. To think we get out of Northern WI and cold and snow to maybe get hit with a tornado. Ge safe everybody.
