Hey Buddy, can you spare a Kilowatt?

Neighbors, they come in all shapes, and sizes, their Rvs also come that way. We have a rather unusual couple and RV just across the way.
The guy's preferred outfit for the day is a Thong....well, just a thong. His bride wears a Bikini top and shorts. The RV is an old bus with solar panels all over it, towing a trailer with solar panels all over it. He refuses to hook up to the campground. They have all sorts of wind speed indicators and satellite dishes pointing to the sky. One of these days, after I get all my Ducks in a row, I will go over and see what their story is, should be interesting.....

He sure has a lot of money in those large solar panels. I bet he has more money in that rig than we do in our Montana's. Ozz that will be a great visit. I can't wait to hear about that.

They may be smarter than your average bear, I think that is a portable self-sufficient bio-diesel refinery (assuming that is a diesel bus??). I bet that thing stops at every McDonalds in Texas to pick up used vegetable oil!!!! Ha Ha!! Sorry, it's Friday and I am going camping stir-crazy.....Two more weeks 'til Topsail!!

I think if I was going to stay on the coast, I would look at the marine wind generators instead of the solar panels. We visit the harbors here and Rockport occasionally, and most of the sailboats have them. They are always spinning, even in the very gentle breezes. And there are many days when the breeze is much more than gentle here.

Hopes Ozz Never gets his Ducks in row or gets a story. Tell me its not so, Timothy O'Leary left callifooornia (Arnolds Pronunciation) and is in South Parda Tx.

Probably should put this in the diesel price thread, but a local town, Hoover, AL is now producing biodiesel for its equipment. Anyone can drop of cooking oil to them--should have a windfall at Thanksgiving since so many deep fry their turkeys. Maybe it's an electric bus. Wonder how many storage batteries he has?

Be carefull Ozz,

It looks like a trap designed to lure in and capture unsuspecting folks that like to tinker with technology .

Or, just going by their attire, they may be using the solar panels to power the lights and cameras in their illicit film studio .

Now, I gotta get that tour! I will also find out about the batteries.
(As Lonnie so perceptively noted, I am a tech. freak. I have 10 or 12, can't remember, Golf Cart batteries and an inverter wired up for house power. Made a console and everything.)
We are at the end of the power poles, used to go out monthly, all the time in storms.

Ozz, with 3 axles on that trailer you know he has a lot of batteries in that unit and I bet the are larger than the golf cart ones. More like the ones that are used in the telephone buildings to power the equipment during a power failure. Like others have said, please don't post any pictures of him.

Be very careful as you approach. If you hear a combination of Startrek and Twilight Zone music emminating from the rig.....run.

I would check to be sure he had a HUGE grounding rod attached before I went near that rig!!
Of course it may be worth it to get a picture of him and his wife - LOL.
