awnings

How do you adjust your awnings so the arms align with the brackets on the side of the trailer. Mine are leaning towards the front of the trailer when retracted and wont fit over the rails attached to the trailer.

It is my guess that your awning(the fabric) has slid one way or another and causing the arm to be out of alignment. There are posts here on the Forum about how to align this again. Go to the Search engine at the top of the page and try a search on awning alignment or similar postings on awnings.

I had the same problem a few years ago. Need to slide the fabric one way or the other. If it is off it rolls up crooked.

You might try attaching a strap at the top of the arm and pulling it out to the side that you want it to roll correctly towards...then have someone rollit up and out and up a few times while you maintain that sideways pressure. Did this on mine to correct. John

Mine was doing that and when I replaced the fabric because it was beginning to look bad the problem was resolved too.
