Lid stays for the cabinet doors
Got these Lid Stays to hold up the cabinet doors. They work well.

Good find Michael, they look great. Are instructions for the screw location included?
I like the look of the euro hinges on your cabinets. Do you know if they used only on the Big Sky's or do the new Montana's have them also?

Don,
No instructions were included. With Kathy, I kept looking at them until we decided where they should go. The bottom bracket is elongated, allowing the device to retract into the cabinet space. The top bracket was put at a spot where the handle of the cabinet door didn't hit the ceiling and a little offset of plumb to allow the bulbous center to avoid hitting the stile of the cabinet.
We had to do something because these cabinets were basically useless space without the ability to keep the door open.
I don't know what the new Monty's have for hinges. Will look at the Tampa RV show.

Mike, didn't your rig come with the little hydraulic rams to keep the overhead doors open? Our 2008 340RLG did. both in the kitchen and over the desk. Yours are nice though... Dave

Michael, good looking lifts, AND hinges.
Are those just friction operated, or is there a spring in there?

Just friction - and they are adjustable. Didn't want springs or gas-assist because of the fear that the doors might open while going down the road.

Thats why I was wondering - at least with these old hinges it's hard enough to keep the doors on as it is. Friction would be the answer.

doh, I installed the cam lock cheapo's last year on my laundry and over the fridge. Now because of this post I might have to do a replacement as these are very elegant and more in line with fit and finish we expect in our Monty.

Most of us have moved from multi-thousand square feet homes to just under 400 square feet 5ers, whether we are full-timing or part-timing. Because of our relative backgrounds, we have come to expect, and RIGHTLY SO, quality in the 5ers we are buying. I have to say, that our new 5er is lacking in some areas. I hope to be able to converse with some higher-ups at the Tampa RV show, if it is still scheduled, based on our current economy.
