5 weeks to go

This waiting for 8 weeks to have a special order 3400RL come in is going too slow. When we ordered ours, I looked back 8 weeks, and said, "that isn't sooo bad", but going forward is torture. I know I'll get thru it but I just wish it would hurry up. I never was very good at waiting for things.

Sharon and Bob -- Been there and done that. Seems like the wait is forever. Keep the faith -- all part of the excitment of owning a new Montana! Next phase -- the excitment of bringing Monty home and setting her up! And the third phase -- taking Monty out on her maiden voyage. Oh, what fun!!!!!!

Remember when you were a child anticipating Christmas? The anticipation is half of the enjoyment. Each planned trip out for us is preceded by days or weeks of anticipation, giving us something to look forward to.

All we can do is wait and think of all the times we will enjoy in our new "house".... you are too right in that no one likes to wait. Maybe all us newbies (and not even newbies yet) should plan a meet somewhere next year...?
So difficult sitting here in this stick house, KNOWING right where the unit is... and right where the hauler is... and knokw they are both a wonderful deal... and be able to do NOTHING! till this house sells! ARgggh.

As others have said "been there, done that", eight weeks is a long time when you are waiting for you new Montana to arrive. Believe me you will be happy when it comes. Happy camping to you.

OH I have 8 weeks to wait for my 335RLBS and I'm really jealous that your down to 5 weeks...LOL. We should start some kind of "new-rv-to-be" support group! Let us all know when she comes in, I'll be even more jealous then!

We waited 7 weeks on our first Monty in 2001 and did it over again in 2003. By the way, our second Monty is a 3280, but if they had come out with the 3400 before we ordered it, I think we would have gotten the 3400. You made a good choice, enjoy it!

Well, I just got word that it will come off line on October 25 and will be here probably the week I'm in Houston at the International Quilt Festival, so now it will be 11 weeks total, so now I'm back to 7 weeks to go. Its a dissapointment, but I think that is my challenge in life ;( and I will grin and bear it. Will give me lots of time to get the trade in ready to go.

I think the reason for the 11 week delivery time is that everyone has been ordering season end trailers for the dealerships for delivery before the snow flies. That is the ONLY reason I can think of for the DUMB 11 week wait. (9 weeks in production) and 1 1/2 week travel from Goshen out to Reno.

Anybody have any other ideas why so long?????

FireTruckerWife.... we bought our Montana from Traveler's RV on Kietzke Lane there in Reno. Is that where you are buying yours at?

Back in 2001 they had a great service department, hopefully they still do. Good luck to you and congratulations!

Yes, Travelers won the race in the price department, and I was sooooo glad it was close to home. I knew the place when it was Webb's RV and had a good reputation. I was hoping (and still am hoping) they are still good in the service department. They certainly bent over backwards to save me a trip to Utah or Montana

-----------------------------------------------

Yup.

According to Readers Digest a long while back, Einstien in explaining his Theory of Relativety is reported to have said, "An hour spent with a pretty girl sitting on your lap seems like a minute." and "A minute spent sitting on a hot stove seems like an hour."

I don't know if that's true since I never had time for more than the first part of the research. It may give you something to think about while you wait however. Happy quilting and safe journey.
