Dometic 320 in a 2014 3402RL??

So the question is can it be installed without moving the drain pipe? Has anyone done the 320 installation on a 2014 3402RL? I know the Dometic 320 is bigger than the Thetford Aqua Magic Style II, but with the current toilet sitting at an angle, it's not easy to figure out if the 320 will install without moving the drain pipe. Moving the supply line is less of a problem.

Never did the 320 when I had my 3402 RL I thought it would take up too much space(too long) in there so I went with the 310 and it fits Excellent! ,only thing I had to do was get a 1 ft flexable steel mesh hose and a female to female adapter, although the stock Pex hose will fit on the Dometic you have to push the hose down the hole and it fits at weird angle and mine started leaking hence the flex extension and also the Dometic gasket did not fit my floor flange so I had to us the old Thetford gasket other than those minor things NO PROBLEM

I've heard that some of the 3402RL Montana's have a cabinet in front of the toilet. In my rig the sink is open under it so more legroom. I think we can tolerate the 2 extra inches of length, but just concerns on the drain installation. Not sure why the Dometic gasket would not work. Aren't all the flanges the same??

If I can remember the Dometic has a cone shaped gasket that did not fit right in the flange in the floor , the Thetford is a flat gasket or visa versa anyway I had to use the Thetford gasket on the Dometic ,yep mine did NOT have a cabinet under the sink but I'm a big dude and I was cramped in there as it was so the 310 gives you a little extra room also do not worry about the drain that is not a problem,....By the way Jim how's that working for ya shaving or washing your face in that sink??? the only thing it was good for me was washing my hands, before I sold it for my new Monty I almost wanted to rip the bottom shelf out to be able to get my head over the sink

Jim, the overall length of the 320 from front to back at the top is 22 inches since it is an elongated bowl. The back of the 320 is flat at the top and is 8 inches wide at this point. The measurement from this flat to the center of the exit in the bowl (or center of flange, depending on how you want to look at it) is 10 inches and it is 12 inches from the center of the exit to the very front of the 320. IF you take a tape measure to your existing toilet, from the center of the exit in bowl to a point in the top back 10 inches and also make this point 8 inches wide...it should give you my best guess for you based on actual measurements of my 320. I did try to bend my pex pipe to hook it up to the 320 and it did leak, so I cut down the pex, put a new connecter on, and then made a short pex adapter pipe to hook to the 320. This was easy for me to do since I have a pex crimping tool that works for copper rings and solid metal pex connectors. John

Luckily, there is a usable sink in the bedroom. I just wash my hands in the toilet room sink.

Have installed the dometic 320 in our 2005 and 2010 with no issues using a flex line. In both instances the dometic gasket provided fit perfectly. Dometic has online good schematics with exact measurements. Two nights ago helped install 320 in a 3900 with absolutely no problems.

Yeah, who knows why the Dometic gasket did not fit my floor flange,it was cone shaped and would not fit in the shute/flange ,this was 2 years ago so maybe hopefully they changed it so it fits the Thetford flange or maybe they gave me the wrong one by mistake, so it is good to hear somebody has done it recently and it worked

SO now comes the shopping part. The pricing on the 320 is all over the map. CW has $255. Adventure RV has it at $179. Anyone know why some of the RV dealers are so cheap? CW is generally not that much more expensive than the rest.
