This is something that shouldn't happen. Contact your dealer and start the repair process.

My guess is none of the people on this forum...and if they did, they would have either caught it before buying it OR fixed it very soon OR claimed it was a new ventilation feature on their fifth wheel. If you click on the profile "button" at the top of the forum page, you can add the model of your montana and what you tow with, etc. Helpful for forum folks to help with issues. To be serious for a moment, other than the profile input, this is not good on an rv of any type. Not knowing anything about your situation other than you see daylight, it is hard to give any direction to you. John

2012 mountaineer 295RKD was taking to the dealer and after waiting 4+ months Keystone will not fix it under warranty. So it must be that new Ventilation system. So So So sad. The dealer gave no reason why !

Call Keystone directly and get the answer from their customer service department. It's probably that it's out of warranty, but no sense in not making the call. It's been my experience and you might want to try this in the future that if you call Keystone first to establish a claim file and then contact a dealer things go much better. Quite a few folks have been upset about what Keystone said or that they wouldn't send parts in a timely manner or all sorts of issues only to find when they called Keystone that Keystone wasn't aware of the problem at all. Can't hurt to call.

Dick is absolutely correct. Personally I found Keystone to be very helpful with a couple issues on my Montana after warranty expired. It's how you approach them. I spent my life selling, therefore I find that being honest, friendly and asking for help, goes a long way. I will also tell you that a pn extended warranty for your age of coach is still available. I can tell you that many people don't lie them. That said, my Good Sam warranty has already saved me " three times" it's cost, and I have two years left. Lots of things can go wrong in a moving house. Note, these RVs are not perfect, they can develop issues. One needs to roll with that fact, and understand "stuff happens"!

I don't understand where you are seeing daylight, my door has a moulding on the inside all around the door. The outside of the door frame itself overlaps the door opening. Is the light on the hinge side or the latch side.

You should not see any daylight around the frame. If nothing else, try caulking

If my dealer or Keystone relayed to me that seeing light around the door frame was normal, I'd ask them if they could point me in the direction of the "Turnip Truck" I supposedly just fell off of.

I would take that comment to mean that the dealer cannot be trusted. There is no way that Keystone would tell them that. I would be contacting Keystone directly with photographs and let them tell you who to take it to to get the appropriate repairs.

Bingoes don’t be so bold.

Keystone told me in order to get out of repairing the trailer that I was required to disassemble the trailer down to removing the sink drains and re-caulk everything when the trailer was 3 months old. They referenced the trailer manual that only references outside caulking to be inspected and re-caulked as needed every 6 months.

Unfortunately that was on the phone.

This is way I tell people here when they start talking to Keystone about warranty problems to get everything in writing. Nothing in a phone call can be referenced if Keystone doesn’t want it to be referenced to.

I tell everyone to get all work done by the dealer on a work order. When the dealer tells you they fixed something and it isn’t on the work order because it is a no charge item then as far as Keystone is concerned it didn’t happen.

I had no proof of the roof inspections on my trailer because both the selling dealer and Camping world said they did the roof inspection free of charge and it wasn’t on the work order (cost to me $10,000).

So folks whatever you do get everything in writing.
