Winegard Wingman

I installed the Winegard Wingman on my batwing antenna today and everything was great until I lowered the antenna. The Wingman extension landed on top of my bedroom air conditioner. I rotated the antenna and lowered it out of its normal landing slot. Will this cause any problems I'm not aware of? Any other suggestions on lowering the antenna?

It will not ride well outside its' normal landing slot. Don't ask me how I know. I found out by looking in the sideview mirror and saw it extending past the side of the trailer

If it is not in the "V" slot it may vibrate on the roof possibility wearing a hole in the roof. Or the wind (driving down the road) may have a better chance to pick it up and tear it off. Just my opinion.

If it is not in its normal position for lowering you will wreck the internal mechanism. Ask me how I know! It is not hard nor very expensive but it is very annoying to have to replace.

Good luck.

Been there and done that and even bought the T-shirt. Don't allow it to ride out of it's normal position.

I have been lucky along this line. Did it improve your reception? (not your patience)
