Where to put a litterbox? (3665RE)

I may have a cat joining our living situation soon.

I have 2 dogs, which like to eat cat litter.

Feeding the cat can be solved by letting the cat eat on a counter, where the dogs cannot reach his food. (The dogs are fed at certain times and eat all their food, so their food is not left out).

But where can the cat's litterbox be put, so that it is not in the way (such as in the bathroom) but so that the dogs cannot access snacks from it, either?

Thanks!

I have been looking at an enlosure for the litter box on the Petsmart website. It is all enclosed with a small front entrance. I haven't been to the website for awhile, but I think it was covered with carpeting and the top comes off so you can take the litter box out to change it,etc. It was a little pricey, but worth it not to have the sights and smells of the litter box. We have a 2955RL so I will have to be creative where I put it. Good luck.

When we had Ashton, I had his litterbox in the living room slide behind one of the recliners. I ended up getting one of those top entrance litter boxes so my dog wouldn't be tempted too. Worked like a charm.

We keep our litter box in the bedroom on the other side of the chest of drawers. It is one with the roof and the small opening in front. When we leave, we slide the bedroom door closed so dog is not tempted No problems yet.....

We have the kitchen dinett with the bench type seats.
What we did was put the litter box under one of the bench seats. We installed one of those small cat doors into the paneling down where your feet would be while sitting in the seat. This has worked great for many years now.
To clean the box, we just lift the cushion and board and then we have access to the box.

We put ours in the washer/dryer closet with one door left ajar. At least that is what we did for the trip back from Indiana. It seems like a good spot to us.
