4th step opens to low on structure issue

I've an occasion where I'm going for a short visit where the 4th step can't open before it hits a deck structure. The third step height is ok. The space doesn't allow me to move the 5th wheel over nor can I move the deck.

Anyone ever have this happen and what options have you used to get around this?

I'd say just get happy with an alternate site, but this situation doesn't sound like you're in a campground. If you can't move the fiver over, nor can the deck be moved or modified ... you may just have to fab a set of steps and leave the fiver's steps folded up. I don't think I'd be thinking about making your last step removable for an occasional need. If you didn't make the mod right ... it could get someone hurt.

No adjustments to the factory steps. At our summer site at the lake with a deck we simply don't use them. We have manufactured wider and much more stable steps out of treated wood.
