TPMS Signal Booster Connections

I am installing the TireMinder TPMS signal booster to the undercarriage of a 2015 Ram 3500 SWB Diesel. From the licence plates lamp wiring harness underneath the vehicle, there are three wires split off from the rest and capped with heat shrink covers. One red, one red-white, and one brown-white. I thought they would be a convenient connection but I cant get voltage reading from these wires with light on or off. Anyone have suggestions on where / how to hard wire the signal booster in to power? Anyone know about these three wires? The license plate lamp is reading 12..1 V.
Thanks for your help,
Max

I installed our signal booster in the battery compartment, just clip the alligator clips on to hot and ground, not specifically the battery posts.

Installed mine in the back window and ran power from a back seat power plug.

That is a good idea. THe owners manual want me to put it on the undercarriage so it picks up the signals from the tires. If yours works in the back window then it probably doesnt have to be mounted under the vehicle or the trailer. I was making it a lot more difficult than it had to be. I ended up connectiong to the battery compartment of the trailer and mounting it underneath the trailer front cargo area.
THanks,
Max

Mine is a TST, but it's worked for me on both my rigs for the last 7 years.

I have a Pressure Pro system. Inside the basement on the wall was a 12 volt plug in that I use for my repeater, simple and sweet.

Did the same as post #2. You don't get any more simple than that and it works consistently.

Battery compartment?

Probably a dumb question but - battery compartment of the RV - not the truck battery...right?

I mounted mine on the junction box on the fifth wheel pin box. Just tied into hotwire there.

We had the pressure pro on our 06 3400 and now the TST 507 on our 13 3402 . We never needed signal booster and never had drop outs. We keep the antenna of the monitor above the dashboard.

Yes, RV battery compartment, helps keep the repeater from getting damaged and out of the weather.

I mounted ours above the battery box and ran a switch for it into the LP streetside tank compartment so I could kill the repeater power.

I installed mine also in the battery compartment. Easy to get to power and out of the way.

Just used my tpms with the booster for the first time and with the booster it didn’t drop a signal not once. Prior to the booster install I would loose a signal regularly. Just used alligator clips to attach it to the battery post. Mounted it on the wall behind battery box Montana 3791 RD.

I also mounted my repeater in the battery area, but connected the hot wire to the load side of the breaker that feeds several small wires, and the ground to the frame. Never lose a signal. I also mounted a 12 volt switch in the hot wire to the repeater in case I need to turn it off.

Mine is also in the battery area.
I found the exterior running lights wires and tied it into them.
