3120/3121 Waste Water Hose Storage

Trading in our 2007 3485 for a 2018 3121. Question on grey/black hose storage. I don't remember seeing a separate compartment for storage of hoses and related items. Did I miss it? If not a compartment, where do current owners of these models store these items? Thanks!

On our 2010 I used a square PVC corner fence post hung under my frame. My 2017 came with a valterra sewer hose holder screwed to the outlet side of the frame. I wanted more so I added another to the opposite side of the rig.

We have a 2019 3121RL, and it has a sewer storage tube mounted to the drop frame below the convenience center.

I bought a section of 6" sewer pipe and cut it approximately 6' long, glued a solid cap on one side and left it loose on the other so I can remove it. I drilled a couple holes in the caps for air flow and pipe clamped it to the rear of the camper on a cross brace. Works great and keeps the flex hose out of my compartments.

We have a 381th & the frame mounted carrier that came with it is too small for the fittings, go figure. I am doing the same with a section of sewer pipe & fittings. As DQDICK did add a few holes for air flow & drainage.

I haven't tried ours, but it does look small. I have a bucket that I put in the truck bed.

Same on our 3791 but it is not large enough for all the hose. I store all the sewer stuff (gloves, connectors, hose, valves, & fittings) in an open cardboard box that just fits inside the left rear hatch.

Our 2018 3121RL sewer storage tube is on the driver's below the large storage compartment and is bolted to the frame.

Extendable Hose Solution

Here is a video of the holder that I made. It holds the Rhino hose on the back bumper, keeps it out of the sun and rain. Then it extends to support the hose when connected to the campground sewer. The snap in holder is great and makes it store quickly.

I have a bucket from Lowes that has a lid that fits tight with a few small holes in the lid. it will hold one six foot hose and the separate end connectors.

We have a 3160RL. The sewer storage is the rear bumper. We don't use it; too difficult getting hose in & out. We use an old cooler. store hose, fittings, gloves, etc.

Sewer Hose Storage

I have a 2012 3100 RL and was thinking of using 3 hose clamps to suspend a 6 foot length of 6" ABS from the 2" x 1" C channel that spans the main frame. It would be located about 2 feet in front of the entrance steps.
Does anyone foresee a ground clearance problem with this?
This option seems to be easier than having to mount the round pipe (or a square vinyl fence post) on the outer side of the main frame with screws and strapping although I do realize you achieve more ground clearance.
As one other member noted, he cemented the door side of the pipe with an end cap and the opposite side with an inside thread fitting that allows for a screw-in access plug.

I have a 6" PVC pipe for the sewer hose. I located it just behind the Landing gear. It's about 6 1/2 feet long and runs fron side to side under the rig. No problem with ground clearance.

Thank you. Did you also suspend it from the c channel that holds up the coroplast insulation board?
