Life gets crazy
My Dianna retired June 2, and that's old news now. When she walked in the door from her last day on the job, she was met with a phone call for a church in Hong Kong. This church has contacted me about the possibility of being their interim pastor. I have special training for this type of work but never dreamed it might take me to China.
I am to have a conference call with the leadership of this English speaking church sometime this week. This is why I am posting. For those who are believers in the power of prayer, I am soliciting your partnership in lifting this matter before God. I am seeking leadership from the Father for us and for the Church.
I have contracted this week to pour a slab and erect a shed for the Monty. Reliable people would be willing and able watch over it while we are away for up to a year. Part of the petition is that we sell the stick house promptly.
This was not in my plans, but many years ago I made a commitment to go wherever my Lord sends me without regard to geographic location. It may now be time to live up to the commitment.

Matter lifted. Our prayers will be with you, yours and the Church. How wonderful that your ready and committed to do the Lord's work and will. If this is the path you will go down I'm sure the doors will all open and your home will sell promptly.
God bless,
Patty

Say it and it is done. He will do his will through you. God works in misterious ways doesn't he. When we work for the Lord we never retire. His work is never done and neither is ours in that respect. Kathi

I found this very interesting as my cousin leaves July 25th with her husband and 4 children for 2 years in Qingdao, China. He teaches English but their main objective is to be missionaries. This is their 2nd time there. We will add you to our prayers.

We are praying for you to know God's direction for your life. In addition, we are praying daily for the people of China to know the love of Jesus.

Our son shared this with us years ago after his return from Belize and it has helped us to keep a perspective on the sudden changes life can undergo. "If you'd like to make God laugh, tell Him YOUR plans!" We're sure that whatever is in your future will be HIS plan--you just need to discern it. We are honored to partner in prayer with you, Diana and the church in Hong Kong.

Our prayers are with you. The Lord certainly does work in mysterious ways - that becomes more evident every day as we look back over our lives and the direction it has taken.

God will take of you (and the details!) Coincidences are minor miracles where God chooses to remain anonymous. Sharon and I have learned that through the years. God is good and He will be with you in all you do in His name!

You and Dianna are in our prayers, as well, Stiles. We wish you the best, however it turns out. When I was still working, one of my staff was a native of Hong Kong. I found his stories very interesting, as well as his culture.

Stiles, we will be lifting you up in prayer, as well. I know that wherever you go you will be a blessing to others, as you have been on this forum, and will represent the Lord well.

Stiles
Our prayers are with you to accept whatever decision is made. Someday when we meet I will tell you about one of my miracles. I'm sure there is more than one but there was one that was so obvious.
