How wide is my Montana?

I know this is a stupid question, but I can't find the answer anywhere and I don't have a tape measure. We are camping right now and my husband wants to go to Home Depot and have the them cut a length of PVC pipe and then he will place it across the entire width of the basement to use to store the sewer hose. He wants the PVC pipe to fit the width pretty precisely.

Does someone here know the dimensions?

Thank you in advance!

Ask one of your campground neighbors if they have a tape... I thought some of the new rigs were 100 inch wide outside dimension and I also heard 102-103, which is the max width allowed of 8 ft 6 inches...unless dot has changed this as well. My 2013 3800RE is 94 inches wide inside and the walls are 2.5 inches or so wide...so 99 inches wide outside. OF course...if you look at how the sides slope inward as it gets down to the area where the pass-through floor is...then the width of the inside of the pass-through is probably narrower... John

Get a full length pipe and an inexpensive hacksaw. Cut it to your length and add the saw to your tool box.

5" PVC fence post works much better than pipe. Mount outside under the frame.

I used a square corner fence post and it fit almost perfectly.

This is the 3rd RV I have this on. 6" pvc pipe, cap on one end and a threaded cap on the other. Drilled some holes along the bottom for it to drain. With the slides in, the pipe is almost flush on the curb side and have about 4" space on the street side. Can be used with the slides in or out. I have 3 pieces of plastic house rain gutter cut into 5ft lengths plus a 20' extension sewer hose in it.

Street side

I guess I'm not the only one to eliminate the boom.

No, plenty of us have. I was a big supporter until ours cracked and I gave adding a gate valve and storage underneath. Won't be going back.

I'd assume you got the answer, you needed. However, in the future, in a pinch, you can always use a string as a measure. More than one way, to accomplish, most everything. All good approaches.
