'05 Mountaineer FW Radio

We have 2 speakers in the living area and 2 up in the bedroom.
All 4 play all the time, is there a way to turn off the ones in the bedroom.

Thanks
Ray

PS
Happy Memorial Day to all

In my 329RL I have a CD/DVD player which controls which speakers and the type of sound you hear. I think when you have the living room ceiling speakers on the bedroom ones are on also. We usually select the speakers in the cabinet which seem to have better sound and use the woofer which is inside the desk/cabinet. The little book that comes with the CD/DVD/ player system tells me the type of sound but not which speakers it will be on even though it controls which speakers are on.

Hope this helps.

I tracked down the wires for the bedroom speakers on the back of the DVD player. there are two sets of wires in the "rear speaker" plug, I just unplugged the ones from the bedroom, some folks, Ozz being one I think, have dropped the rear bedroom speaker and installed a switch to control the bedroom speakers. When I feel ambitious again I will do the same or install a volume knob... Dave

Thanks guys. I suspected it wouldn't be as easy as I had hoped.

If you have the DVD player check and see if the menu program does not have A, B, and A and B speakers. That is how I turned off the bedroom speakers.

Oops,
I told you wrong. In my 2006 mountaineer 329RLT there is a switch on the front bedroom wall/closet wall right beside the head of the bed. If the slide is in you can’t see it. The DVD player I have is very confusing and either turns all four on or goes to the ones next to the TV. When both front and rear are on the switch will turn the bedroom off. Now I will go out and put things back together.

Yep, our Mountaineer has a switch near the closet door that will turn the bedroom speakers OFF.

In the 3400Rl with the Quest Entertainment systme, there is a button on the remote control that is labeled "Speakers." Pressing it will give you different combinations of speakers. Mine will give me the three in the cabinet, all, including the bedroom, or all excluding the bedroom. I hope this makes it easier to control for you.

Thank you. I will look for a switch today. Part of the problem is information regarding the entertainment center is missing from the manual.

Ray,
In my Mountaineer the only information on the entertainment center is the manual for the Memorex CD/DVD player/amplifier system. If you don't have this in front of you while trying to use it good luck. One interesting thing is when playing a CD you can't change the sound setup/speakers without stopping/pausing the CD??? Most things have to be done from the remote, very little control from the unit itself. I learned trying to help you that the woofer is on all the time no madder what speakers you are using. I understand why friend trashed his unit and bought one he could use right after he bought the camper.
