PSI rated rims?

Can anyone tell me for sure what my aluminum rims are rated at PSI wise.
I understand the psi might be stamped on the inner face, but I can't find any stamped on mine. I do see stamped on the inside spoke "Made in China" and Load Max 3500 lbs.
I am looking to buy Goodyear G614's rated at 110 psi. I now of course have Missions rated at 80 psi. My year is 2008 3400RL. anyone with this year and model know the answer?

You should be rated at 110 psi. You can check with Tredit Tire & Wheel in Elkhart. They supply Keystone

I was told that if your rims are possibly 8-lug, then it's possible you can use the G-rated tires. In my case, my rims are 6-lug and cannot take the G-rated tire psi.

The aluminum rims on my 340 RLQ are able to handle 110 psi according to my tire man. I have reason to trust him. He mounted my G614s in those rims. Further, he said that mounting those tires on rims that were not sufficient would make him liable. The rims in question are 16", 8 lug OEM aluminum rims.

We have an 07 3400rl the rims are stamped max load 3042 lbs, we were looking at the Goodyear G614 and the 110 psi rim requirement. Our tire man told us that he would NOT warrent the tires on those rims as they were a total mismatch, we need rims rated to the G614 load rate. We went with a different tire, rated at 80 psi.

I crawled under my rig and noticed a stamp on the rim that read 3500 Max.
The axles are rated at 7000 lbs. and they rims are 8 lug.
They may have changed in 2008.

If you are unsure of your rims then get a professional look at a reputable tire dealership. Since the Tredit Tire & Wheel company web-site is useless as far as consumer information is concerned you will have to call them with the wheel serial/model number to get an answer from them. They don't manufacture the wheels, they just import them. This of course assumes they supplied the rims. There seems to be differences from year to year and even model number. If you bought a pre-owned unit you can't rely on stock information as the previous owner may have changed rims. Steel rims and aluminum are also different.

I just called Tredit Tire, the rim and tire ditributor for Keystone.
Customer service told me to send a picture of the rim and they could tell me the specs. for sure.
I'll post as soon as I know.

Be very cautious, make sure they are rated for the high pressure.

For people who may be interested, here is the reply I received from Tredit Tire and Wheels.
I sent them a picture of my wheels and info.
"The rim that you have on your unit is our TR6 style Keystone propriety wheel. This rim only has a 80PSI rating. I would not suggest you upgrade to a load range G. That tire requires a 110 PSI. Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day!"

Thank you,

FYI, the aluminum rims on our 2007 Big Sky are stamped as rated for 3,750# and 110 psi. Since Keystone only put the standard 3500# Mission tires on the rig, I wonder why they didn't give us the same aluminum rims they put on the standard Montanas. Guess we got lucky on this one.

Good that you posted Tredit's response Jack. Thanks for sharing. Again, it seems to be based on year and model. I deleted my previous post because it was wrong and I didn't want anyone getting led astray. Now I have to crawl under my new rig to confirm what rim I have after having done research on earlier models and thought I knew. I wish Keystone would give us a technical specs page that outlined all this by year and model but that would be too much to ask.

Jack,
I'm in the same predicament as you are and would like that same information. I'm not positive if my rims look exactly like yours, but I'm going to visit Hanna tomorrow at the hospital and do a check. I only have 1000 miles on the Missions and I'm going t replace them as soon a I get some good information.

come on down LonnieB!!!!!

My recommendation would be Bridgestone Duravis R500, or Michelin XPS Rib in a LT235/85R16 Load Range E. I have the Bridgestones on mine.

Lonnie, I want to use the full potential Of my wheels. The Missions are rated at 3500 lbs. load were as the Ribs are rated at 3020 lbs. What load are the Bridgestones?
Thanks Stiles,I was hoping to go with the G614's.

Actually Jack, the Michelin XPS Rib is rated at 3042 lbs, as is the Bridgestone Duravis R500. If you feel it is not enough, then get the Goodyear G614 which will be more than adequate. Remember, that the max psi of 110 on the tire is just that, maxumum. It does no mean it requires 110 psi to safely operate. Weigh your axles and set the air pressure accordingly.

Actually Lonnie,I would prefer to stay close to the rated 3500 since the trailer GVWR on the 3400RL is 15500. I hate to lose that extra rated weight.
Any suggestions with a 3500 rating and 80 lbs.PSI,Except Missions and not made in China?
