Funny you would ask, but yes today I helped another lady get her minivan jump started after it died backing out of her driveway. I'm sure tomorrow will be another good day as they are predicting 1-3 inches of snow and sleet. Might have to keep the top rope ready and see how many still feel the need to drive 65mph on ice and snow.

,k-[p (Oops, Sparky stepped on the keyboard)
I stopped to help a couple with their awning on an older class 'A', it got a 35-45 MPH wind under it, unrolled backwards on the 3 mile bridge from South Padre Island to Port Isabel. The driver was dazed, didn't rally know what to do, his wife was in a panic.
I told them this happened to me, and we would get it rolled back up. Got it secured and their blood pressure came back down to normal. I was glad to help them.
I'll see if the picture came out and post it later.

Just got home from playing lead snow drift buster for one of our employee's on her way home. Upon getting within a half mile of where she lives I ran into 2 people in the ditch from the snow and ice and while retrieving them another slid in the opposite ditch while trying to stop to see if we needed help. Got to test the new log chain out real well tonight.

Got the ole snow blower out and did the lady's driveway next door. I guess you would consider that an act of kindness, I just do it because it needs to be done and becomes my responsibility since she lost her husband.

Not sure this is one or not-

Three dogs were running loose in the RV park yesterday and no one claimed them. They came right to me when I called them so we got our leashes, put them on them, called the authorities and they came and took them to the shelter. I think we gave them a good chance at being found by either the owners or adopted by a good family.

They were wet and dirty from playing in the water and sand, but otherwise the sweetest dogs to come to a stranger like that. I feel that maybe they were dumped because on the larger dogs you could feel their ribs and spine pretty good.

I hope & pray they find a good home or homes.

I ended up giving some really good PBR tickets to a couple who could not afford to go otherwise. First row right against the arena. It made their month. It feels good to do nice stuff for others.

I've done many random acts of kindness this winter. The park we are in is a 55 plus park and many of the folks are actually 65 and 70 plus. As we all know many of these folks can barely drive straight down the Interstate and will get totally lost trying to back in some of the easier sites and if the site is the least bit tght they are totally bewildered. This park is not the easiest place to park a rig so I always try to be there for them if they need assistance getting them rigs parked. Many times when they have numerous arrivals at one time park management will ask for my assistance. Not with just 5ers but TT's and MH's as well.
Also this year we've had unusually high winds. We've have had way too many days with steady 20/25 MPH winds and gusts up to 40+ MPH. These same 55+ folks don't seem to know how to secure their awnings in the down position and to make matters worse they just love to hang tacky lights and other do dads on their awnings. When the winds pick up they will be struggling trying to their awnings back up. More than once I've been up in the middle of the night helping them get these awnings up out of harms way. Sometimes even before I've put my own up.

Not to many us out there doing good deeds including me, I only have seen 9 entries so far, and we only have 3 days left to complete the week. I think I'll go out and find somebody to help today.

My wife can't wait until this week is over. She says she is tired of being kind to me. (LOL)

As I was walking out of the hospital a elderly woman was about to fall off a curb I reach and grab her arm and help her down, in doing so she related to me that she missed her bus and held onto my arm. as we continued to walk across the parking lot and when we approached my truck I offered her a ride to her home. She took one look at my truck and said I know all about you guys with big trucks, my son has one and then hurriedly ran off.
What she meant by that leaves allot to the imagination. I chuckled to myself and figured that I better get out of here before my act of kindness turn into and act of confinement.

I love it OZZ! I think I'll get a decal with that on the truck window.

I do my best to be kind and courteous all the time, holding doors open, etc. But last week when I went to the post office, as I was leaving, there was a book of stamps laying on the lobby floor. I picked it up and returned it to the postal clerk so that if the customer who bought it came in looking, the stamps would be there waiting.

My wife and I went out to Sunday brunch and sitting a few tables away was a couple all dressed up and they looked to be about 190 years and having a grand time so on the way out I paid for there lunch on the condition that the waitress told them it was just a random act of kindness from another couple. Felt great but wished we could have seen the look on there faces when they got the paid up bill.

Every time I go grocery shopping I take the grocery carts left behind in the handicapped parking area and push them into the store.
(Probably putting someone out of a job - lol.)
