Four score and seven years ago.....

Well maybe not that long ago.

Three years and no days ago Lorraine and I purchased our first and only Montana. On September 14th 2003 at an RV Show in Harrisburg PA we purchased our beloved Monty. We took delivery on September 24th and on October 18th, 2003 we went full time and haven't looked back. With the exception of a sagging shower door which I was able to correct we have had zero problems with this rig. She (that's all the name she ever got) served us well.
Now having said that we have also just started a mission of looking into a Monty that is just a bit bigger. As I type this the front runner is the 3475RL but after the up coming rally and plant tour that could all change but I can promise this... "it will be another Montana."

There are two reasons it will be another Montana.
#1- Montana's are the BEST. So why settle for less when you can have the best.
#2- The Montana Owners Club Family is the best. So again, "why settle for less when you can have the best."

What a nice testimony, Glenn! I think you'll have lots of new rigs to see at the rally, although the 3400 will be a little dominant, from all indications.

Glenn that was truly a great testimonial. Keep that up and they'll have you as their poster boy, lol. In all sincereity though, after we bought our Montana it was this forum, and people just like you on it that let me know we had made the right choice in a fifth wheel "home on wheels". Thanks, and hope the one you guys choose brings you as much carefree pleasure as your current one has.

Well said Glenn. They are going to have to make another 3670RL or something like it before we start looking.

Well Glenn we stared out with the 3295 then the 3670 and wound up with the 3400 ( a curse upon Montana for dropping the 3670) may the fleas of a thousand camels alight upon the head of the Keystone exec who decided that... The 3475 is close to the 3670.

Glenn,

So glad you have had a trouble free experience. I expect you will continue to enjoy which ever unit you settle on for future days. I, like Richfaa, am sorry to see that the 3670 floor plan has been dropped since I own one and am very pleased with the arrangement. The only detraction from the 3670 floorplan, for me, is the size and placement of the computer desk, however, since we are wireless and have gone exclusively to laptops, it is no longer an issue. The space is being put to other uses. Happy hunting....

Glen,
It's people like you that make this forum so much fun and so informative! So.... how long do you think you can hold out before actually taking the plunge? Our Rig was 2 years old this last August, seems like yesterday. We are hoping to have it at least another 5 years before we trade it in, and so far, a Montana is our only choice, for all the same reasons! Can't wait to hear about which one you two choose! good luck.

Happy Shopping Glenn,
We never had any problems with our 2003 3255RL either. We wanted something a little bigger. liked the 3400RL and 3475RL. settled on the 3475. Liked the price better..LOL.. Also like the level floor in the bedroom area. We do have some warranty issues being worked out with the dealer. Hope to have the unit back by next week so we can start packing!
See you in Dec. Floyd

Glenn,
Sounds like the "movin on up" bug has bit you as it did us last fall. As most here know we started with the 2003 - 3295RK and after two and a half years moved into our 2006 - 3475RL. Love the great living room but do miss my big kitchen (end result we get to eat out more...lol). Also believe the 3295 had more storage space but than again we opted for the fireplace in our newer unit so gave up that storage space. Must say this was a great exchange. We truly enjoy the warmth and cozziness of the fireplace. Like you we will stick with the Montana as long as we are enjoying the RV lifestyle. Looking forward to seeing you and Lorraine next week.

Glenn,
I will be waiting to hear if and when you decide on that new Montana. Maybe you and I can team up on the Montana folks while at the rally to offer that full body paint option before you buy. =)

Glenn, What a fun way to shop for a new Monty - at the factory with an RV show to boot!

I won't be thinking about a bigger Monty until Stiles puts his Big Sky on the market!
