The mechanic said it tells the engine how much oil pressure it has at the injectors. I think it stands for internal combustion pressure. The 6.0 requires 500 lbs of oil pressure before the injectors will put in the fuel. My senser was showing 291 pounds of pressure when the truck was off. Which made the engine only add 209 pounds of pressure to start the engine. In reality all it was getting was 209 pounds and not enough to fire the injectors. Since it has not been getting the correct pressue that is why I was having hesitation and poor fuel mileage. Had it fixed in 15 minutes. I was suprised that I did not have to pay a deductable but I did not complain.
