? Re wax

Ok started on Fall cleaning and first time waxing of 5er.
Have a question about the lower skirt , the finish is sort of rough. Do you wax it with the same products.
I’m using Meguires cleaner/wax on sides and Meguires marine upholstery on black trim.
Thanks

The year and model will help. My 16 has a textued metal skirt on the bottom and I use 303 or protect all.

Turtle Wax Ice works pretty good, doesn’t leave a residue.

I'm using meguires gold wax and just waxed my rv last week. The rough skirting doesn't seem to respond to the wax like the rest of the rv even though I used a orbital sander after taking the wax off by hand. The rest of the rv buffed out very well. With not having the gel-coat protection like the rest of the rv this is probably as good as it's going to get. If there is any part of the rv that could stand another coat it would be the nose. Because of bugs I am thinking about adding another coat to the nose before traveling this October and leaving it on until I get home. I left the wax on the rv for 4 days before taking it off and it was no problem. Meguires is one of the easiest waxes to remove.

Do not use NuFinish on the metal skirt. Works fine for rest of trailer.

I made the mistake of using McGuire’s marine wax on the skirt a year ago. Big mistake, i am still trying to get it all off.

Thanks I got lucky and parked next to a retired body shop guy. His advice was Lucas detail spray, picked up a bottle and tried on a small spot. It gives a nice clean look , you can tell it’s been treated. Obviously it doesn’t shine like the fiberglass walls but looks good.

Wonder if anyone who had their Montana waxed at the rally noticed what products were being used.?

At rally they used Meguire's yellow number 26 wax. They applied it with Griots garage red foam pad on an orbital buffer.
