Refrigerator buzz

Once in a while our refrigerator will buzz for s few seconds. Is it anything we need to worry about? What is it. Trailer is leveled. Fridge is cold.
Thanks for the help.

Mine does this from time to time wakes me up sometimes the only thing that's not working cause it`s not turned on is the water to the ice maker and the ice maker its self. Other than that the refer works as designed.

Ok so it`s a 2018.5 3791 Montana RD
Samsung residential type Model 18 something but It`s the one that comes in the new units, the big 3 door model.
Don`t want to turn on the ice maker or charge the line with water cause I`m lazy and don`t want winterize the thing and fail and cause a leak that won`t become apparent until damage is done. I think that might be the issue.

We are going to Hershey on Thurs- Fri. and will ask the salesman if he knows or can find out for us and report back with findings. Hope that storm stays far enough away as not to ruin all the fun for us and all the other people that are planning to go.

Is the ice maker off? counterintuitive the ice bucket inside top of freezer is where it is displayed. Ice bucket being lit means ice make is off.

We have a Sears Kenmore in the S&B and even with the Ice Maker turned off it still makes a racket every now and again. So very likely that could be the issue with your Samsung.

Either turn of the icemaker, see pic, or turn on the water. The buzz is the water solenoid valve being activated to fill the icemaker for ~5-8 seconds.

Our Samsung makes a slight "bussing" sound when the compressor cycles up and lasts for 2-3 seconds. Has done it since new and don't really notice it anymore. Most any compressor is noticeable when it kicks on and this doesn't concern me.

Is there an advantage to setting your freezer to 8? Just wondering if I'm missing something beneficial having mine at 0.

I do that since we are parked at home 90% of the time. It prevents drain freeze up issues which the orient made reefers are famous for. The only thing that would have an issue at 8F would be long term storage of sensitive foods (meats) and maybe sherbet and some ice cream flavors - Bluebell vanilla bean is fine at 8.

Most of the newer variable speed inverter controlled compressors have a few second ramp up on start. Most today are designed to not even shut down unless absolutely necessary - i.e. very low ambient temperature. They just simply change their speed (BTU output) to meet load conditions. That is one of the ways that the brainiacs get the cost of operation low - no start up of compressor - too inefficient.

Our Model 18 did that occasionally in year one. Your inquiry reminded me we haven't heard it this year. Never did figure out what it was.

Back from Hershey, 3 salesmen and one Keystone factory rep had no clue said the standard answer...."We never heard of that before".

The convenience of the ice maker Far out weight the winterizing issue.
