lazy susan in kitchen
We have the 2950RK Montana, over the sink in the corner is a cabinet with a lazy susan in it. Nothing stays on it when traveling and I need suggestions as to what to do with it. Like to get rid of it and put something else in it's place. Help!!

 Debbie, we have removed the lazy susan from both of our Montanas. When we traded our first I put it back in, just in case the new owners wanted it. We thought this was space we could use for something else, but there are others that use theirs every day. Just a personal preference. Whenever I remove something, like a kitchen faucet, I keep the one I took out so I can reinstall it if we were going to trade again! Of course, that would be a new Montana if we did!

We also had a lazy susan in one of our units. We took it out and put a shelf half way. It was quite deep, but worked a lot better than the lazy susan.

Ours came with only the bottom shelf (dealer said they stopped using/sending the upper shelf). I took that shelf out, along with the support piece, and trashed them both.

We replaced it with sliding baskets. They work quite nice!

Our lazy suzan was in the upper cabinet at the rear in our 2955RL. It carried stuff well. Hmmm - must just be the floorplan and the resulting ride.
The 3400 has a single shelf type under the sink. It's disposition still awaits trial runs.

Ours came out day one. Replaced with shelf give us two tier storage for pots and Pans

We removed the lazy susan in our new 3400 and replaced it with a slide-out trash can. We like to have our trash in a place our sweet puppy can't get to! Dave did have to put a piece of 1"x2" wood under the slide frame to compensate for the "lip" in the cabinet. It works great! We had a 2-tier lazy susan in our 3670 and most everything rode well. Agree, must have been the placement. Good luck!

We moved the lazy susan to the other end of the island so we could have a trash can reachable on both sides where the lazy susan was originally. All the cleaning supplies ride on the lazy susan and as long as it is full, rides very nicely.

Debbie, we took out our lazy susan and replaced it with one of the plastic covered wired shelves that they sell at Walmart. We have used several of these shelves throughout the Montana to give us more storage.

Ours work just fine, we put all our caned goods on it, and they travel well with no jumpers.

The one in our 3000RK is in the upper back corner. Tried the canned goods thing, no luck, it's hard to get to them in the back when they fall off! So, I've found that potato chips, paper towels, things like that which are unbreakable and bulky work great in there. I have thought about taking it out, but since we just weekend and vacation in it right now, don't really need any more space for things.

One of the first things to go in our 3400. Needed the space for a pull out trash can as well!!!

Ours is in the upper back corner shelf. I was really surprised to find that everything was still standing up on the lazy-susan. In our 2955rl everything fell off.

Ours was up over the sink in the corner as well - things jumped off all the time so out it came and Jack built shelves. Since we are trading it at the end of May we took all our extra shelves out today so we can put it back to go with the trailer. I have a feeling we will also take it out of the new Monty as well. On a rear kitchen we found the lazy susan worthless - as Judy said the wire racks work very well.
