Montana Refridgerator
Our 2009 Montana 3400 RL was delivered in October with a NORCOLD refridgerator instead of the Dometic unit found in most other Montanas. Has anyone out there had any experience with this brand?
We would appreciate any input pro or con.

Montyman, don't think you will have any issues with the Norcold vs the Dometic. I think its a cost thing for the RV manufactors, you know the best bid will get the business. Next year you might get a Dometic in a 2010/11 model. But I think you will be fine. You will of course get different comments both pro and con. What ever a person has had problems with will be bad and so forth. GBY....

Our Big Sky came with the 4 door Norcold and we LOVE it. Haven't had a problem with it and it works great... Dave

We had a Norcold in our Nash and never had a problem in 10 years.

When I bought my 2009 in August the dealer told me Keystone was going to switch to Norcold in January. He said it was because Norcold had a 2 year warranty instead to Dometic's 1 year.
I too prefer the Norcold but I have never had a problem with Dometic.

Same experience here as 3 previous SOB's had Norcold each one worked fine.

Our dometic crapped out about 3 weeks after the 3 year warranty expired and they wouldn't do anything. I'm glad to have a norcold made in Sidney, Oh and fortunately, the extended warranty took care of most of the cost of replacement.
