Real world experiences (OOPS)

In the vein of keeping everyone informed, I am quickly learning the do's and definitely the don'ts associated with our Montana. Here is a brief summary of the 9 hour pull to Myrtle Beach on the 5th of July and the following week.
July 4th - decide we want to take a frozen cut up rib-eye with us so a trip to the storage lot is in order to turn the propane and fridge on to get the freezer ready for the trip. A quick look shows the camper is not level so into the access door I go to level the camper. OOPS not enough extension room. Blown fuse at 7:30 p.m. on the 4th. Quick trip to Advance, store still open for 5 more minutes (WHEWWW), now have 5 extras, back to storage lot to finish what I started.
July 5th - arrive at CG and begin set-up. DW and kids of course are excited and keep interrupting DOD (dear old dad) during set-up. OOPS forgot to unhook brake cord and emergency cable. Pull out and hear something in bed of truck, STOP!! Got lucky, brake cord was wrapped around Coleman grill and I heard it scooting across the truck bed. No damage done, emergency cable pulled loose, simple fix, put back in.
July 11th - DW calls DH at work to inform him of leak under shower. Don't know details but she said it coming from where the top surround, tub and enclosure meet. Will be there tonight with them (Vacation finally!!!) to investigate tommorrow. Will keep everyone informed as to leak cause. What I learned: don't fret the mistakes, they will occur, this life we live is too enjoyable to let the small things worry you. Sorry for the lengthy diatribe.

Good attitude - keeps one healthy. Neighbor gave me a placard a couple of years ago trying to get me to calm down following a tail-gating incident that reads something like "Handle the little stuff - the big stuff -- Ah S%&t -- just have another beer". Sounds like you got that advice long ago . Safe and happy camping to you.

Bingo,
I developed a similar leak from the shower (into the basement) I was able to reach up and tighten the collar that connects the plumbing pipe to the area you described. Only got it to turn 1/8 of a turn but it was enough to stop the leak. Must have vibrated loosed during the trip to the campground.

Sounds like a great attitude there!
I took a stress management course and the two rules the speaker (Rich Carlson) used as the basis for the whole thing were:
1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
2. It's ALL small stuff.
I haven't got it yet, but I'm trying.
Sounds like you're on track.

My take on life is:

It will all work out in the end!

If it doesn't work out- It's not the end.

Great attitude bingo...I tend to flip out while thank God, my husband remains calm. I guess we will all run across little problems from time to time. As long as we are safe, it's no big deal....happy camping!

Larry, was your photo taken in front of Sedona's Cathedral Rocks? My husband and I were married there! It's a beautiful place....nice photo!
