Convenience center faucet not working / no flow
I have a faucet in our water convenience center that has a quick connect hose fitting. With city water connected and on, I have no flow from it. There is a pink tag that describes the possibility of a sticking valve and how to free it. Tapping (firmly) the center brass valve several times is supposed to free it. The brass valve is spring loaded and is depressing about 1/4" or so.
I have pressed the brass fitting in with water applied, with water shut off and system depressurized, and even tried water hammer to see if I could unstick it, or get flow to it.
Not luck. Before I go in for service or tear in apart, anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks, Eric

Most likely the problem is the check valves in both the hot and cold faucets are stuck. These are in place to prevent contaminated water from entering the fresh water system. You will need to remove the faucet to be able to push each check valve from the back to break them free.

This problem was just recently encountered, and solved, by another MOC member. Here is a link to that thread. Turned out to be the check valves as noted above.

Check valves supplied by the low bidder are a common Keystone issue, particularly with the black tank flush.

Actually, these check valves in the outside faucet are part of the assembly. I'm not real sure they are even needed, as you could just place an external check valve at the hose connection outside the faucet and accomplish the same thing, and avoid the sticking internal valves.
