Really need more info. Is the pump running? If so, is the valve set to normal operation or is it set to fill the fresh water tank. If it's set to fill than you are recycling the water and not pumping it thru the system. There are a number of other things that are possible. Just give us a little more info.

This will probably get moved to the Maintenance section, but have you checked to make sure your valve is set to normal flow? And also, heater bypass should be off as should winterize. That's where to start.

Ron and Dick made very good suggestions, I would try them first. My unit, when I first took delivery developed an air lock and would not pump from the fresh water tank.

The pump should. Run all the time with an open faucet and then shut off when pressure. Builds with a closed faucet...but a loose fitting on the pump will also mean an air leak and no water being pulled out of the tank and pump always running. You could try turning open the low point drain and then closing it to see what this does, if anything. I would take the wall off the side/back of the convenience center and check the pump input line (air leak here means no water pulled) or for a kinked pump output line. To investigate the line to the tank means dropping the bottem, but I doubt the issue is there. Did this ever work? Could be a pump that has gone bad as well. John

Water does come from the tank as I disconnected the input line to the pump and sucked water in by mouth (didn't even taste bad!). With the input line disconnected, there is very little suction from the pump...can barely feel it when I put my finger over the input hole while pump running. I poured about a half cup of water into the iput of the pump but it barely spit out of the output hole.

If this is an old pump, over a couple years, just get a replacement. We just replaced ours, about 2 1/2 years old. It's not worth the hassle to even think about a rebuild kit, if you can even find one. Just a couple water connections, a few screws and a couple splices, and you are back in business.

Ordering a new pump today. Was wondering if any one else had a similar problem of failure after only two summer's use and very intermittent use, at that. Guess I'm not alone. The pump in my old trailer was still going strong after nearly 20 years. Maybe I'll have better luck with my new one.

Thanks for all the responses...and Happy Summer to all!!

My BIL just replaced a pump in his Cougar because it was leaking. The new pump wouldn't work. Turned out he had to manually prime it. He borrowed a piece of short hose from me and dumped water in, then put it in a bucket of water. Worked fine after that.

Many of us have had our pump for years without problems. I did replace mine last year for a quieter and more powerful model, but I kept the old one and it still is working.

Here's my update on my water pump problem. I installed a new water pump but still have the same issue as with the original pump. There is no water being pumped from the tank to the faucets and toilet. I can disconnect the input line to the pump and blow into it; water comes out of the fresh water tank inlet. I can siphon water from the tank by mouth at the inlet tube to the pump. This would seem to indicate that the line coming from the tank is good. But the pump will not pull any water from the tank. I suppose it is possible that my new pump is also bad and not working. In any event, I am able to use the city water connection and will have to make do with that until I stop long enough to have the professional check it all out. In the meantime, guess I'll carry a gallon jug of water to flush toilet at our rest/lunch stops. Thanks to all for help and suggestions.

If you leave the suction side of the pump hooked up but leave the supply side of the pump unhooked at the pump ... will it pump water? If so ... your issue is downstream from the pump.

Make sure that the valving is correct at your connivence center. If I remember correctly if you leave the valve in the fill tank position it will just circulate the water back to your fresh water tank. I don't mind filling my tank this way but I do wish Keystone had also put in the old style filler that you could pour six gallon water jugs into while camping. I don't know if our owner manual covers it or not. What I remember is what the service tech told me while doing the PDI.

An update on the water pump problem: I installed a new Flowjet water pump. However, the problem still exists; there is no water being pumped from the tank to the faucets and toilet. I can blow (by mouth) into the inlet tube and water will come out of the tank fill port. I can siphon (by mouth) water from the tank. The city water works just fine. As I'm "on the road again" in just a few days, I will have to wait for professional help until I stop at a place for more than 4 or 5 days. The old pump worked fine when I had the unit in for repair (2 blown tires took out both fender skirts) and winterization. I guess it is not beyond the realm of possibilities that the new pump is also bad. Will report after I get to a repair shop. Thanks to all for your advice...'preciate it. Have a great and safe summer!!

Didn't get a chance to thank everyone for their comments. Turned out to be that little o ring; replace at a Montana dealer ($75 poorer) and works great now.
