You will have to take a RCA audio cable from the TV audio out to your DVD/Surround Sound Player. They will probably plug into the Auxiliary jacks then select Auxiliary on your DVD and you should have Surround Sound. It should show the hookup in your Manual.
Hope this helps

In order to get surround sound you must have a digital surround sound source ie.,DVD, Satelite and "some" cable services. Even if you connect your tv to your surround sound receiver you will not get surround sound. You must have a surround sound source. If you do connect your tv to the receiver there might be a setting on your receiver that will produce a simulated sorround, but in order to get true surround you must have the source.

Look at the menu's on the TV to see if it has Dolby Digital Output Or Dolby 5:1, our 7:1
. Choose that once you are set up.
