Just curious where you find the 5* spec at? I looked at the Carrier units (a lot better price than Dometic), but all the
specs I found showed the front of the unit could be above level up to 10*, but had no tolerance below level. I most likely would have gone with the Carrier except for that spec. I also think the Mountaineer has a little more front slope than some of the Montana's.
As far as cooling efficiently, I think any of the front non ducted units will out perform the ducted units from the factory, my theory being the heat in the attic and the quality of the duct leads to this. Of course, there is very limited space in the attic.
