Not for the ladies; most ladies.....
This, in my opinion, will be a very good purchase for the person who may desire a shooter, for whatever reason, target, sport; Bowling pin matches, or personal protection. Not necessarily for the ladies because of the double stack clip. May be too fat for a ladies grip.
It is my favorite, the 19. I do have a 26 Glock, both in 9mm.
My 19 has a rapid flash lazier, rapid flash to conserve battery power, I was told. My battery is 4 years old and still works like a champ.
Now for the ladies, my wife loves her S.& W. J-frame Airweight wheel gun. A 5 shot alloy model. She has two rubber stripper clips with it. I had a Diamond set in it, with 'Sue' engraved next to the Diamond. I would imagine it is one of a kind.
We both have our Concealed Carry license and have been well trained, we practice often.
I know this post is not for everyone, but it is for some.
Please do not let it get into an insane debate.

Now you know if you say "not for the ladies" that we all are going to look 
We both have our Concealed permits too. I prefer my Ruger 357 as my carry. I also have others and have a S&W too.
We are also trained well.
My mom was teaching me to shoot when I was a child. She was an avid hunter, even up in her 60s. Which doesn't seem old to me now.

Ye, I remember when 60 was considered ancient...
It seems that farm kids and people brought up in families that had hunting, and sport shooting outings are mostly the ones who are comfortable around guns.
357?? wow. you go girl.....

I prefer my 9 mm and sometimes a 45 auto Colt.
Nice looking guns.... Now Dusty is going to want her's done like Sue's with the diamond!!

 Ozz, knowing your GLOCKs , you realize my model 22 .40 S&W was not for the ccw. I actually sold it this past winter and purchased a .40 S&W TAURUS Millineum Pro AND a Bersa .380 for what I sold the GLOCK for.
Both are very easy to conceal or hide in my portable home! Haven't fired the .380 yet, but I've shot one before. It's amazing how loud it is and the amount of damage it can do!
I have my ccw and used to teach gun safety for the BSA. Know how, just hope for the best, you know what I mean.

A frind of mine and me were shooting out back. My friend has a Nickle Colt M1911 .45 (Nice gun) and I have a Glock 19. We got to shooting our targets and he loaded twice and I was still shooting when he asked me if it ever run out of bullets like John Wayne. Mag capacity is so different.

It takes a bit to learn that every shot counts, it's good training to start a newbie with a single shot .22.
The 45's are kinda scary with the hammer back, just have to get used to it..
It is also nice to see this as an exchange of ideas and experiences, and not a nasty debate.

So, Jim, did you find out we ladies like our fire power also? Don't have a pistol, but our shotguns and 22's give us plenty of target shooting fun. We have a couple of antiques that were my Dad's also. I'm NRA certified. And I have bagged a deer, 35 years ago!

Great post Ozz, and I agree it's nice to have an exchange of ideas and not a nasty debate.
I like the Glocks, always wanted one just never have done it, maybe after I get the concealed carry permit. I've been packing around a stainless Ruger .357 Blackhawk for the last 25 years or so, and occasionally an M1911A1 I inherited.

All, it is amazing how many comment about there experiences. This topic can infuriate so many while being so honest and sincere.
NRA lifetime member, carry permit, love to hunt (can't get out enough), our area has changed so much that I have to travel to hunt and target shoot now.

It IS nice to have a "conversation" about this.
I'm an NRA life member and instructor in 6 disciplines. My wife is an annual member and NRA certified. We both have our CCWs.
I'm torn between carrying my Beretta 9mm or my Colt 45. I always felt that shot placement with a heavy, slow slug was more important than many smaller shots, but the Beretta is sweet. My wife carries a Colt Diamonback 38 spl. wheel gun with custom grip but I love the feel of that gun too.
Too many good choices, I guess. We will end up carrying what feels best and works best for us.

I also have two 38's and sometimes carry one those instead of the Ruger 357. They fit nicely. But the Ruger also fits well too.
I have also just discovered trap shooting! Love it. Not good at it yet but trying.
