HI Steve, yes, was wondering if the mor/ryde was adjustable in order to get enough top rail clearance and have the Monty level,my 3500 Dodge is 57.5 inches from the ground to top of the tailgate,I was surprised they don,t offer a riser kit.Hopefully it won,t be an issue.

I have a Reese slider in my 2006 F250 shot bed and have used the slider under two circumstances (only 7 months with this setup). The first was where we were living while building new home had to make hard unlevel turn to back in & out of the driveway. The second was at a campground in PA this month, real unlevel camping spot relative to the road and because of a tree had to turn hard to get out, needed the slide for the first time camping. May not have hit but didn't take a chance. This is why I spent the money. Got into the pull through spot without using the slide.

I do not have a slider hitch of any kind. We purchased a long bed truck so we would not need one. However if a short bed suited our needs we would have a slider hitch. We see the nice pictures of the short bed truck on a nice level surface bent at a really good angle....however we figured that would not always be the case and on a uneven surface we would be in big trouble. My thought was that IF the nose would clear the truck on a uneven surface they would have a picture of a truck on a uneven surface.that would be great PR.

That picture also is not quite 90 degrees. I believe it said 88 degrees. So even on perfectly level ground it would still be possible to crash truck and trailer together. That picture used a GM TV. The Ford shortbed is 3 inches longer so possibly would clear. But I don't think it would on my Ford.

I'm not sure what I said above came through as I intended. I believe I will never again need to use the slider but I will have the slider in the bed nonetheless, just because the possiblity of need still exists.
