RV Antifreeze Coming Out Water Connection

This is probably another stupid question on my part but here goes!
We have a 2003 Montana 3295RK Have winterized the rig for years by pumping RV antifreeze into the water lines with no problem - until this year. This year antifreeze came out of the exterior water line connection when pumping. Am I correct that there should be a check valve to prevent back flow in the water inlet? We had a leak in the inlet last spring, got it fixed, but vaguely remember the tech saying something about a check valve in the line that wasn't needed. Is there any reason I couldn't plug the water inlet to finish winterizing?

Thanks in advance for your input and/or suggestions.

I would replace that missing check valve, for now to get it winterized you could cap it.
Any time you run your on board pump water will be coming out the hose connection, giving you poor water pressure on inside fixtures.

I agree with Loui Cap it for now.In the Spring you are going to have to replace the City Water inlet the Back Flow valve is a component of the City WATER inlet.

You can buy an external check valve and screw it on to the hose bib. That will eliminate the need for a cap. That same check valve can be used when hooked to city water. Many are using this same arrangement on their black tank flush. One fix solves 2 problems. Jim

It could still be there and you just misunderstood. Take a toothpick or something like an awl and poke in the fresh water inlet port. Sometimes the little check valve just doesn't seat completely. It's just a little rubber disc and a spring.
