Fantastic Fan upgrade available

There was some discussion recently about reversing the Fantastic Fan flow direction. Consensus seemed to be that they were for exhaust only.

I noticed that there was an ad. (in Good Sam Highways Mag I think) that offered an after market upgrade for ALL Fantastic Fans that would allow two way flow. This device works through a remote (like we need another remote!). Anyway, it is available from Fantastic Fan, and sounds like a nice upgrade. No idea of cost.

All I needed was a DPDT switch. Cost less than $5.00.

Mine already has a reversing switch built in. All that is needed is a stick or a stool to reach it.

Both of my Fantastic Fans have a rocker switch that reverses the fans direction.

Just goes to show, Montanas are a "work in progress". You can never assume that because one is equipped a certain way, that all others are the same. Happily, most of the changes are for the better. Not sure when the reverse flow swithch made its appearance, but it is not on our '05 model. It seems pretty clear though that it just a matter of reversing polarity to get the fan to run in reverse.

Ours is an 04 model and it has the reversing switch. It is a rocker type switch.
