First tow with 3500 HD

We hooked up the Montana to the "new 2 us" truck today and took it on its maiden tow. To sum it up " How Sweet It Is!" We left and went South on 23, traveled the Industrial parkway to I-64 followed that to the Olive Hill exit and took route 59 to Vanceburg, KY. We then took the "AA" highway back to 23 then north on 23 back home. About 100-150 miles in all with road construction, 2-lane roads with hills and a few miles at "70" MPH when on 64. The GMC met And exceeded all expectations.

It is quite the difference in power compared to Any Diesel back in 2004,Heck my 2007 Duramax is a nice step up in power from my 2004 ,I would love to have a 2011+ Duramax with even more Congrats!

My first diesel was a 7.3 with 250 HP. My next was a 6 L with 325 HP. I thought what a difference. My next was my 6.4. I tuned it so now it's pulling about 600 HP. A canoe can never be too light and a truck can never have too much power.
As drive your new truck you will like the power even more.

I've got a feeling you're gonna really love that truck, Bill. Like Jimmy says, the newer ones are much stronger than the earlier incarnations.

With these Montana's getting longer and heavier one needs more and more truck to pull them.

We went on another excursion this past weekend. Went to a local campground with some family & friends. As expected a flawless event In towing. I'm beginning to think highly of this towing combination.
